Launched from the new sailing acadamy. Not the easiet of places to launch in a SW, or judge the wind as its in a bit of wind shadow. Thought that the 6.5 on the stoke would be enough. Sadly just not quite enough wind. Came back in to get the 8.0 on the new mast and a big fin. Blasted backwards and forwards making loads of gound upwind, then flying downwind to buzz Jo on her dinghy sailing course. As the wind increased came back in and grabbed the 6.5 again. Pushed upwind and went racing all the other guys closer to the beach. Although I was dropping some of my gybes, I was pretty much the quickest on the water that day. Another Stoke was out, but I think I was just a little better than the other sailor. Nearly had a crash with one of the acadamy instructers, I was on starboard and tried to hold my course, going as high upwind as possible. Unfortunatly he decided that because of the other traffic on the water he would do the same. At the last minute I went downwind, as he did the same. Not sure how we missed but damn close. He apolagised later on, but no harm done.
